About Us

The Zion Prospector is fortunate to do business in the wholesale trade and retail side of the gem, mineral and fossil world.


While much of our inventory comes from different places around the world. The Zion Prospector specializes in collecting, cutting and polishing many minerals from the beautiful state of Utah.


With a great retail store located in beautiful Springdale, Utah. We get to enjoy the view of Zion National Park on a daily basis.


The Zion Prospector also does an annual Wholesale Trade show in Tucson, AZ. (see our Wholesale page for more info.)

 The Zion Prospector, best known for our beautiful purple patterned Tiffany Stone, also known as Opalized Fluorite, the Dendrites with their beautiful patterns on top of oranges, brown and gold swirls of color. The Picasso marble, Septarian Geodes, and the wood-grained looking Wonderstone. Even some Honeycomb Calcite and Sandstone arches show off their unique colors and patterns. We offer cabochons for jewelry to free forms and even spheres. Slabs to make your own cabochons, rough rock by the pound to the finished product.


Held on the last part of January to the middle of February. We are fortunate to go to sunny Tucson Arizona for this event. Known as the largest Gem, Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry show in the world. If you are in the industry or just love exploring the many different geological wonders that nature has provided, come and visit.
